Lincoln Grand Prix Cycle Race 2013

Today I helped out at the Lincoln Grand Prix Cycle Race, looking after the spectator’s bike park.

This was the first time the organisers had introduced an area for spectators to leave their own bikes securely and free of charge at the event.

It proved highly successful with around 80-90 bikes being left in the area through the day. There were many positive comments from the public, and it’s hoped that the area will expand next year, which will allow for more bikes.

Here are a few pictures of the bike park and the event in general:

Oh and I managed to get a very nice purple sweatshirt too which I’ll be wearing (thanks Ian!).

Zombie Run UK (Lincoln) 2013

Zombie Run UK

I enjoy helping out with local events, so when I saw that there was going to be a ‘Zombie Run’ event in the Lincoln area, I couldn’t refuse the opportunity to get involved!

If you haven’t heard of it before, here’s an extract from their website about what the event involves:

Navigate through an off-road 5k course, battle through obstacles and avoid the blood thirsty infected hordes to become the ultimate survivor.

The event proved extremely popular, and there was a fair queue for registration!
